I'am pleased to see so many have responded as chritians. A true believer would never support such hatred. We have soldiers in conflicts giving their life in belief they are doing the work of christ in that they are fighting for the right of others to believe not everyone there is doing the right thing but most are trying. What we lack as a nation is we do not live up to our own standards.Christans who have been temperd know we can't look to man for our example. Christ says it in the testament look upon the word for guidance all men sin. I hope this helps it helped me.

Where do you get the idea that all Christians support Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church??????
His church is made up mostly of his own family. No doubt Baptist wished he would take the name Baptist out of his church. Some of the burials they have desecrated by their behavior have been for Baptist soldiers.
Christian people every where are throroughly and completely disgusted by their behavior.
I am a Catholic Chrisitan.

"All" Christians don't support Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church. Just because he calls himself a Christian, that doesn't mean the rest of us who claim the Name of Christ agree with him or his policies.

Don't generalize all Christians. None that I know of support him or his church. In fact, I don't even believe he is a Christian, certainly not the kind the Bible teaches we are to be. He gives Christianity a bad name.

I personally know of none who support Phelps and most consider him to be mad.
His 'church' of hatred is anathema to Christianity as practiced by most Christians .

I'm an atheist, but I'm pretty sure that only a very tiny minority of Christians support that perverted psychopath.

I had a good snort as quickly as I heard that somebody tried to burn down his church. Pity they only did 20000$ of injury to the region. optimistically, another good human beings will come alongside and burn down something of it.

whoever supports that guy and what he supports is insane and should not be allowed to live in this country (USA) where people have died to give them the right to freedom of speech, I would love to see them go somewhere else and try to pull that crap

just because someone starts a church does not mean he is a christian. and if they preach hate, they are preaching against the word of god.
