A bold choice of the Father. We could become more like him.Or lose us.Just one of children lost must hurt him to the heart.

And how would one know if they are one of these so called elect?
I heard this crap years ago when I was a Christian and the way one was defined with this question. Who will show up first Jesus or Satan? Without a thought I said Satan. Not realizing at the time that so many people buy into this rapture idea and think Jesus will return first. Which is actually a lie based on the bible.
What all this boils down to is I was told point blank that I was one of these so called elect. Who were supposedly chosen by God. Well now I fully reject the bible, and everything this God stands for!
What gets really freaky is this idea of being chosen by God means by definition that I do not have freewill because this God choose me and prejudged me and all of that crap! Which means this God knew I would take the turn I did and planned on it! Wanted it to occur!
Don't you get it? This is all a load of religious garbage meant to give someone a deluded idea of themself! I know the bible better then 99% of Christians! I just do not buy into the ideas most of which are doctrinal not scriptural!
Besides look at my picture! I am hardly what you would think of as one of GOD'S elect!

No it isn't. Freewill to someone in the dark is just that...a blind man walking around in the dark. He doesn't usually complain about freewill when he can't even see. What's so free about going to hell. When you get there you will be wondering what the heck you were thinking and realizing (too late of course) that you had been lied to all along and what you thought was freedom was actually a rush to get to hell.

freewill means done voluntarily. whats your problem.
You have the right to follow what you want either right path or wrong path but at the end of the world, time of God to pay him of the consequences of your wrong doings.
Punishment is punishment. Salvation is salavation. The end of your repentance but no more.
Thats your choice, despite of many warnings from God.

...How could man's will escape the fall of man, when Adam sinned? I don't think anyone's will is free, observe Psalm 53, also Psalm 14, and repeated in Romans 3:
...1 The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God," they are corrupt, and have committed abominable injustice;there is no one who does good.
... 2 God has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men to see if there is anyone who understands, who seeks after God.
...3 Every one of them has turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.
**
And in Ephesians 2:1-3 we read:
...1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,
...2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.
...3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.
..
...The faith to believe on Christ is a gift, see Ephesians 2:8-9:
...For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.
..
...Repent and believe the Gospel.

brother, you are quite confused...the ELECT doesnt mean these people who are predestined...God dint make some people to hell and others to heaven...the ELECT simply means the people God elected from the entire human race to have eternal life...now the question we should ask is that HOW COME THEY ARE ELECTED FROM THE OTHERS? very simple: because these are those that BELIEVED IN JESUS...JOHN 3:16...FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON THAT WHOSOEVER believes SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE... very simple in that when Jesus came to save the lost, people wouldnt believe him..result? perish ...WHOSE CHOICE, GOD'S OR THEIRS? THEIRS !!! Rev 3 :20 Jesus said: I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK, IF ANY HEARS MY VOICE and opens the door, i will come in and sup with him...invitation ...it is therefore our OWN POWER OF CHOICE as to accept Christ and his word for life or reject and be condemmed...OUR CHOICE AND NOT GOD'S CHOICE....finally in Ezekiels 18...if the righteous turn to sin, he dies but if the sinner turns to do right , he lives...again , our choice...for god does not take interest in the death of the wicked ( end of Ezekiels 18 )...God bless

we are free to choose what we do but not what we believe. you are either persuaded by an argument or not, there is no decision.
i could not choose to believe in God or that 2+2=5 even for 10 seconds or at gunpoint. but make a compelling argument and i could not believe otherwise.

You cannot love or hate that which you do not know. Only sincere seeking within one's own cosmos can bring the knowingness.
