The legal consequences of being charged with possession? Depends on the quantity and the circumstances - getting caught with a joint at a rock concert is not the same as getting caught with 8 kilos of pot in your trunk while you are parked in a school zone waiting for your customers to get recess.

Imprisonment plus fines are the usual punishment for someone found in possession of illegal drugs. The period of imprisonment ranges from three months to life imprisonment depending upon the volume of the drugs and laws being imposed in your locality. In some countries, punishment for drug possession could be death penalty.

first of all, it depends on the jurisdiction. different states have different statutes and they all approach drug crimes in their own way. second, if you're in a 3 strikes state and already have 2 prior convictions, a third felony will lock you up for life. lastly, it depends on how much of the stuff you had on you....mere possession of a little bit won't be as bad as having so much as to constitute "intent to distribute."

you can check your state's Penal Code for specifications.

i could not agree extra. in spite of the undeniable fact that, whether there have been regulations for AOP which called for punishment, somewhat frequently, those convicted would be pardoned by utilising Presidents, Governors, or whomever would have the authority to realize this. (Which in a manner, would be yet another abuse of ability, ultimate?) those human beings afflicted by utilising Palin's AOP actually can sue for damages, and that i actually desire they gain this.
