How do i stop fighting with my younger brother he is just 8 and im 13??

me and him always get into fights everyday for no reason sometimes... i hate that so much and my mother is mad annoyed i try to act nice to him but it doesn't work and sometimes i hurt him really badly by accident when were fighting i don't mean to hurt him but since hes he younger it hurts him alot...can someone help me cause im sick of fighting with him every single day

You younger brother just wants you to spend time with him. Its true really and if he can't get you attention in a good way he will be bad. Spend some time doing something with him, invite him to play or watch tv. give him a hug. Then when you have to say I'm busy, go away till later. He will not be so bad cause he knows you like him and will play sometimes. He is much younger than you so its your job to be understanding not this little kid. He looks up to you.

Your little brother is trying to get your attention. You both need to stop hitting each other. next time he wants to start a fight tell him you are not interested in arguing and fighting with him and ask him to leave you alone. When you guys are in good terms you should initiate conversations with him, go for a walk, play a video game together or any other activity that might interest both of you. Once he realizes that fighting is not the way to spend time with you then, the fighting will diminish. However, don't rub it in his face that all he wants is your attention because he will deny it. if he buggs you, don't do anything and just walk away. I know it is gonna be hard to do, but it works. If he still fights with you still ignore him. If he's nice to u, then pay attention to him and reward him.
