I have credit cards with two different banks, I checked my credit score before applying with the second one and was good. My legal name has two last names (I wasn't born in the US), my first bank uses my complete name, first name and two last names as in my social security card, but the second bank decided to delete my second last name, . Also they took my office address and used it as residential address even when I told them not to do so. I'm trying to increase my credit score even more to buy an expensive car at the end of the year. Does this dual name/address affect my report (and score)? Should I change my information with the second bank? Or only the social security number is considering while preparing the credit reports?

All of the names and addresses that you use in dealing with credit will be listed in the personal section on your credit report.

As for the name, many people have more than one last name listed on their reports - usually due to marriage.
If you no longer use the second last name it's no big deal for the second bank not to list it.
If you do use it, it would probably be in your best interests to request the second bank to correct their records and report the corrected info to the CRA's.

As for the address, that could make things stickier when applying for credit. A company could wonder why you have credit showing two seperate and current address.
I would discuss it with the bank and make them change the address from your work to your real home address and report the correction to the CRA's.
(that bank sounds like they are extremely bad with their record keeping)

Keep an eye on your reports. If the CRA's continue to list your work address - dispute it.
Include in your dispute a copy of a utility bill showing your current address and a copy of your drivers license.
(be sure to mark out the account number on the utility bill and your drivers license number on the copies before sending them)
