why do red onmions smell so bad?

as soon as you cut them up the smell becomes real strong
and you sure acnt put them in the refrigerator

I really can't tell you. I love red onions the best. I like the slightly sweeter flavor they have.

Most onions smell strong, but they taste good. You can put them in the refrigerator if you put them in a lock bag!
