Are the Catholics correct in saying that only their priests can communicate with you? Why is this? To ensure the hierarchy and security of the Catholic Church? Or, can anyone communicate with you as most of the other religions believe?

well if i were you i wouldn't believe a whole lot about what the catholics are saying about their priests....when u got one or two child molesters then it might be their personal choice but when u got hundreds of child molesting priests.....well, there is something wrong there.

Misinformation breeds misconceptions. Catholics often offer to pray for others. If Catholics thought only priests can talk to God, they would not devote as much energy as they do to communal prayer.

Try an RCIA class if you want to know what Catholics are REALLY taught to believe. The class is free, and lasts about 6 months. This is your chance to get free coffee and donuts while attacking the Church at the same time.

Good luck with that.

God bless

You can communicate with me anytime. Just kidding. The difference in Catholicism and Christianity is where is the authority for the Divine Word. Christianity says its in the inspired Word of God which we all have access to and therefore have communication with God. Catholicism says that the authority is in the "seat" or the position of the Pope who has divine authority to interpret scripture. It's worth studying. I spend time reading the scriptures and talking with God every morning and then I talk with God throughout the day.

If God communicates with the average man, then I'm below average, because I've listened a long time and I don't hear a thing. So, I don't know.

Anyone can communicate with God. You just need to be in tune with the Spirit to be able to hear. God has said over and over in the scriptures that He will answers us if we ask.

Generally, people who believe they can communicate with god (as in have a literal conversation, or speak in tongues) are insane.

Anyone with love and sincerity in their heart can communicate with our Father. We are His children. He is , as our own earthly parents are, available for consultation as deemed necessary by Him. We may not get everything we want when we want it. We may feel like we are getting ignored sometimes-but we are children. We should go to Him as little children.
