Recently i bought a laptop with following config..
1 GB RAM, 1.73 Ghz intel centrino duo T2250 processor, 80GB HDD with windows vista operating system.
Since the day i bought i am facing problem of slowness of the system. even if i copy some data and paste in some other folders also it is taking very long time. I have performed all the operations like cleaning up and removing unwanted programs ( even thou) it is a new system. Even thou the system is responding very slowly. can someone advise me how to get rid of this??

i'm going to be pretty honest with you. you should probably return your laptop if you still can. i know that you don't want to hear this, but your laptop doesn't really have enough power to run vista well. you need at the MINIMUM 1Gb of ram (which, i know you have) but that will provide minimal operation of vista. about 2GB is recommended. adding memory might solve some of your problems, but the processor is not really one worth keeping either... opt for a core 2 duo, if you have the money to spend on that. the centrino is a bit of a economical chip, designed for lower power consumption and a little bit less processing power to help maintain a longer battery life. it is also supposed to help with wireless connections, but i dont' trust those claims. your computer could run XP quite well, but it would cost to retrograde, instead maybe choose a less expensive computer that can run XP well, seeing how much of a resource hog Vista is.... best of luck with your computing.
