Why do we pray? To grow closer to God. The prayer Jesus taught us is the Our Father.

Our Father
Who art in Heaven
Hallowed be Thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven
Give us this day
Our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those
Who trespass against us
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil
(Protestants usually end it here with "Amen")

Catholics continue the prayer with

For thine is the kingdom, the power
And the glory
Amen

That is a form prayer.

Basically tho, it is best to think of prayer as your special time alone with God. Just tell Him about your day, your problems, your successes, anything you want. He is your Friend, the best Friend you'll ever have. Spend time getting to know Him and you'll want to know more. Knowing Him gives your life purpose.

God Bless you.

1. That God would forgive me of my sins
2. That God would keep my family safe
3. That God would lead ppl in my direction that want to be saved
4. That God will help me run from temptation, and help me when I fall
5. I thank Gd for all that He has given me, and sending Christ to die for my sins

Then don't pray. There's no getting into it when you don't believe enough in your faith in the first place. Turn Atheist.
