The next part of the question. If you are opposed to it, why don't you try do something about it? It is only a matter of time before employers try to start filling traditionally american "accepted" jobs with cheaper labor then everyone is in trouble who lives in America.

Adamantly opposed to illegal immigration. We are working to have the illegals deported and jailed and put into work camps wherever possible until we can get the situation under control. Our groups are taking pictures of all those who march in these demonstrations and we are working at getting a list of all the identities the 22 people who were just arrested had given out so we can check the voter registration records to see if they voted in any of our elections and where they were used. We are doing the research the government and ICE don't have the time or manpower to do and we are feeding them. We report all the illegals and those who hire, harbor and help them and we scan pictures of people who march for gang symbols, gang signs, comparison to wanted lists etc. We feed the information anonymously and include pictures and documentation so that law enforcement has the ammunition it needs to clean up the streets. We aren't trying to do something -- we are doing plenty. Why don't you all join us? We have spanish-speaking people who infiltrate meetings and let us know what the plans are and we report. We have the right to have our laws enforced and we have a vested interest in helping our law enforcement officers get the job done. Additionally, people whose identities have been stolen are becoming proactive and are investigating the people who used their names. They document and will eventually prosecute them. We are also starting to hold our Legislators' feet to the fire to cause them to do their jobs.

It's a complex issue. I don't think anybody should break the law but I understand why it happens. It's because of a system that makes people who WANT to contribute, assimilate and be here wait 5+ Years (if they get in AT ALL). The whole immigration process is very badly broken and needs overhauling.

I really do try to understand people's frustrations with illegal immigrants receiving privileges they are not entitled to, but it is EQUALLY frustrating for me to try to make a lot of people here at Y!A see that there is another side to it.

As far as the rest of your question, a lot of employers are outsourcing to people who DON'T live here, some of whom are being very badly exploited in THEIR own countries. If not for this, the "illegal immigration is against the law" argument would sit a lot better with me.

I live in a bordering state to Mexico and i can tell you that I oppose illegal immigration! It is breaking our health care system and taking jobs that we Americans need ourselves! Plus, I am ticked as all get out about the amount of taxes we pay so they can have children, let us feed them and then, we get to help educate them as well! This is so not fair to thhose of us who work our butts off!!!

Another thing, why should we have opened arms when the US just posted a no travel warning to Mexico as Americans are coming up dead there! They have been for years and I want to know why the esculation in the number of killings of our tourists? Seems a little unfair to me when our laws protect them!

I say, if you are here illegal, then you have NO rights but, the right to be thrown into jail and sent back to the country of origin!!

u know, I myself was an illegal alien (not now though). Americans think that illegal aliens are taking their jobs away, but, not in a racist way, I tell u that most Americans wouldn't do the jobs illegal aliens do in this country. Workin at MCDonalds, Wendy's...you are not gonna want to work there as a 30 yr old person right? but illegal aliens have to do it, because if it is the only way to bring food to one's house, then they will take it. People should think a little about the Illegal Aliens...people just think: "Oh, they are illegal..DEPORT THEM", but not only because WE are the base of this country (why? because we do the jobs that are the most basic..without the root, u cant have no flower...without wheels u cant have a car....n im talkin about working in factories n stuff like dat), but some people need to think about what an immigrant goes trough mentally and physically to get to this country. First of all is leaving ALL ur family behind in the country u coming from. Just imagine having to leave your whole family behind for a better future for ur kids (yea..most immigrants come here because they want their kids to have a better future)..immigrants crossing the border..having to walk long distances under the sun to get somewhere...taking that risk that can cost them their lives. If u say "nobody is telling them to come"..well..it may be the only way to get money..if u was in misery..if u have no money, no job..u would move right? because in this country u can find jobs almost everywhere..but for example in Mexico (im not Mexican, I'm Peruvian, n i didn cross the border, but im takin for them) its mad hard to find a job, doesnt matter where u go..its hard..so people have to move here, having the dream of getting somewhere..which unfortunatelly happens rarely.
Americans have to think about this subject in an humanitary way. If u simply don't believe that immigrants are the base of this industry, then think about them as humans...and if u don't, den u, im sorry but, have to be racist.

I don't have any problem with the people except that they broke the law to get here. They are encouraged by being able to use fake ID's to get a credit card. If I don't pay for my insurance, they send a letter to the department of motor vehicles. It is rare for an illegal to have insurance. Those stupid politicians are making a huge mistake by pandering to lawlessness. It is long past time that the executive department start enforcing existing laws. I would probably be very receptive to letting them come here legally. I would never grant citizenship to someone that came here illegally but would like to make them legal. Otherwise they are nothing but second class citizens and subject to being taken advantage of.

I am totally opposed to illegal immigration. I turn in apartments catering to illegals here in Denver, we just had a major raid. The entire building is now empty. I will be going to Washington in June for the Anti illegal protest. And finally, I will be spending a week with the minutemen this summer on the border.

Illegal is Illegal just the same as me stealing a car.
Some of us are trying to do something about it, the problem is the people who do not see any problem with it.We are called racists etc..Let`s see , I go to work and pay my bills and taxes and follow the laws of the land but then a special group is exempt from all of the above and I am expected to bend over and ask for more.If everone did their homework and opened their eyes to whats happening they would be scared.

Mass deportation,we have more than enough true Americans to fill the jobs. They think they can come here and take what does not belong to them and they denigrate American citizens.

I feel the gov is doing anough to control illegal immigration, however it is taking time to pardon the illegals already in the country... the country is capable of giving one more amnesty...

in theory i am against illegal immigration. Though realisitcally, the economy would be hampered without them.
We are dependent on the cheap labor they provide for non desirable jobs. How many of us are willing to become farm workers, low level construction workers, furniture movers, and meat packers for minimum wage?
