there is this guy that rids my bus and he is so sweet and nice. every day he will sit behind me on they bus and we would talk, but today his friends wher on the bus and he was really mean to me. y do they do that?

For two reasons, 1: we don't want with your weak around the other guys, and 2: we don't want the other guys to know if you're interested in you so that they will try to steal you away from us.
Plus let's face it, guys are a lot better at talking with the guys then they are talking to women.

She may have been making a joke, or perhaps she is trying to send a message. It really doesn't matter, does it? You are living life to the fullest, and are happy the way you are. You do not have to justify yourself to any of them. Choose your battlegrounds. Is this worth confronting? Or can you just ignore it? Deciding when and where to confront and deflect will be with you for a while. Not much you can do to make it go away, as well intentioned busy-bodies will pursue this in a variety of ways. You will have a bit of satisfaction, as you go along and their perfect marriages/partners dissolve into anarchy, divorce and custody battles. Float with it....you are doing fine and don't need anyone's help~

people act differently when there is a crowd.
I'm sure you act differently when you are around your parents and you act differently when you are around your close friends.
Girls do it too, but its normal. I don't know how mean he was. You should ask him, "why was you so mean to me the other day?" Then look him in his eyes. If he laughs and says something stupid ... turn and walk away. If you smile at his stupid answer ... he might do it again.
The more mature a guy is ... the less likely he will be mean to you in that situation. Matter of fact, It would have been good if he stood up for you.

He was trying to be one of the guys and they become more important to him while they are around. Then the friends leave and the act drops like a hot rock. Right now the guys he hangs with are not mature enough to act human when together. Tell him about how you felt about him being mean to you. He may not be deep enough to know the difference between being good natured kidding around and being a Jerk. You will definitely educate him about hurting someones feelings, just to impress his friends.

Try befriending boys that are little more mature and maybe you won't have that problem. I don't know your age, but there are guys in the 15 - 18 year old range that are actually gentleman. It just requires a little effort on your part to find 'em.

Because he feels he has to show his friends that he is superior and that he is "COOL" Some boys are afraid their mates will think they are soft and they will walk all over them. remember that girls won't get their heads shoved down the loo. So boys have more to worry about. Boys heads in the loo might not happen there but just think about it. If a boy shows that they are soft they get walked all over. Money stolen and all that stuff.

He is afraid his freinds will laugh at him for hanging with a girl he is embarassed. He is just covering himself around them. Just wait till his freinds are gone and talk to him again.
He wasnt really mean he was just embarassed by the pressure of his friends. I hope you still talk to him.
But make him be a man and not be afraid of what they think. Talk to him about it a little to make him be a man.
