hey dears..,

if you don't know me from this category..im a proud muslima...
i have learned both the christianity and the islam and read the bibble and the quraan since i was in the elementary school..
and honostly i noticed that the bibble is more confusing and looks like it have been corrupted like the quraan says..while the quraan seem more pure and legible than the bibble..

my serious question is:
i can't understand why do christians believe that thier religion is the only true religion while the bibble contains many believes that have been changed many times and have lots of differences..and some of them doesn't make any sense?!

peace to you..
anno

My dear Anno,

Why do you believe the Qura'an is the original source ? The words of the Prophet Muhammed were recorded by others. The Bible (not bibble, which is a disrespectful spelling mistake) is not the original source either. Everything was written down by human beings, who make mistakes. What's important are the ideas that they contain.

Stop telling other people that the are wrong just because their belief makes you uncomfortable. That is not any way to convince them about the value of your way. All that shows is your excessive pride and intolerance. Live like a humble person and convince by your example. Walk the walk, don't just talk the talk.

P.S. I'm not Christian. I'm Wiccan and I found your question coy and insulting, not serious at all. If you are truly serious, then ask others in the way you wish to be asked. Switch the words 'Christian' and 'Muslim', then see if what you read would hurt your feelings.

Salaam alachaam
Peace be with you

I personally have never read the quraan, so I won't say too much. I do think that perhaps you had a little more exposure to the quraan and thus it makes more sense to you than the Bible. Yes, the Bible can be confusing, which is why we have Bible scholars. Some Christian Bible scholars have discovered that you can get the main story line of the Bible from just 14 of the 73 books. The other books are semi-extraneous, but still important.
I have heard many people who just take snippets of the quraan and use it to dis the Islamic religion. The people who do this have no study of the quraan, and thus don't understand the context of the verse(s) which they quote.
Having been raised Christian, I do believe that the Catholic faith is the one true faith. If you know the whole story of the Bible (which could be called the History of Salvation) it will makes sense. I would like to be able to explain to you the history of salvation, but it would take too long right now. The Bible is a very complex book which requires much study to fully understand.

My dear Muslima friend.

There are many forms of Christianism. That is because the Bible has been corrupted from the moment the different manuscripts were compiled by the Roman Catholic Church. For example, the Primitive Christians used to have several manuscripts that considered to be worthy of reading. Imagine, there were at least 19 Gospels, but only 4 made it to the book now called the Bible. The first Bible compiled was the Latin Vulgata. The Primitive Catholic Church, burned or destroyed most of the Primitive Christian Manuscripts they could get their hands on.

Protestantism also played an important role in corrupting the Latin Vulgata, for they removed some of the books found in it, to make their own version of what is now called, The Bible.

Protestantism, also helped in creating divisions among Christians. As the years passed, new "visionaries" rised, and preached different views of Christianity.

The Holy Koran has not been corrupted as much as the Christian Bible. However, there are different interpretations of the Holy Koran (Qu'ran) and that's why there are different types of Muslim denominations.

There are Muslim denominations that do not allow women to show their faces, or wear pants. Of course, there are some Christian denominations that do not allow women to pray without covering their faces, and much less allow for women to wear pants either.

There are some Muslims that believe that by blowing up themselves (killing innocent people) they will go to heaven where a certain number of virgins will await them. But wait !!!. Incredibly, there are some Christians who believe in the same thing. They are a very few, but they do exist.

The important thing is take your faith in Allah seriously. But beware of those who claim to speak on His behalf. The same goes for Christians. Many (certainly not all) of them seek to impose their beliefs on non Christians.

I have read the Holy Koran and the Bible. I find that both Holy Books have good teachings in them, worthy of being practiced.

When I meet with my Christian and Muslim friends, I love how we can share what we read and see the PEACEFUL ways in which we can practice some of the teachings of the Holy Bible and the Holy Koran.

I am neither a Christian nor a Muslim. But I love learning the good things about other beliefs. I admit that no Muslim has ever attempted to convert me, but my Christian friends often try to get me "converted". That's why I do enjoy spending more time with my Muslim friends.

uggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh..more of the pick, pick, picking..muslim vs christian, bible against quran, atheist against believer..believe what you want....man can try to change the bible as many times as he likes however the basic truths have never changed. Some parts of the quran seem to sound the same as the bible..i wonder why. Please remember that each believes their own religion is the right one. How about learning to live and let live and look in the mirror instead of trying to find faults in others. Oh i don't think the beliefs in the bible have been changed..i believe it is your comprehension that has not been correct. No, it would not make sense to someone from another belief because they have not got an open mind..they have already chosen what belief they feel is right. You gave no evidence..just words..

I have tried to read the Quran.... which is a cheap attempt to copy the Bible itself... you do realize that the Quran was written around 300 AD right? long after the writers of the Bible were finished with the writings inspired by God...

Where I simply had to leave and never return to the Quran was the passage which says this... "For we are the disciples of Jesus and we are Muslim." That was all I could take.

But, there is only one truth anyway and that is this... if you want to live you must choose Jesus who is our Savior and our God. If you don't choose Jesus then you will never enter the Kingdom of God. It's just that simple.

God hides the meaning of the Bible from those who have not accepted Jesus. Once you do accept Jesus as your personal Savior, then the Holy Spirit enters you and lives inside you forever and only then does the Bible have meaning. Pretty amazing stuff, but Satan doesn't want you to understand that.

It's your choice.

God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, His Word never changes and is absolute. Human understanding of the scriptures is flawed, not Gods Word. Only Christ Jesus walked on water, only Christ Jesus restored limbs and healed the sick, only Christ Jesus raised the dead, only Christ Jesus calmed the winds and the sea. Since His arrival into this world and His death and resurrection, all the world has been keeping track of the days, until the time of His return. This is why we say it is the year 2007. It has been 2007 years since Christ Jesus walked on this planet. No other person, alive or dead, can make these claims. That is how I know, Jesus is Gods revelation of Himself to us, in a way we humans can more easily understand. God Almighty, is Christ Jesus in ALL His Glory. The bible states that No man can see the face of God without perishing. If Christ Jesus would have come to this earth, in all His Glory, every living creature would have perished. People saw Jesus walking on this earth and dwelling with humanity, only in heaven will we see Christ Jesus in All His Glory, as God Almighty. God Bless You....Peace.

You feel that the Bible is more confusing than the Quraan because you were not raised learning the Bible....I would feel the same way about the Quraan for the same reason.....as far as Christian's thinking they are right.....don't you believe that you are the one who is right?

I am Muslim !
And you are right sis.

I want to tell Christians that Jesus is a prophet like all the prophets and not the son of God because God have no sons daughter wife...etc.

And Jesus him self told Christians to believe in a prophet after him which is (Mohamed) and they don't.
So if you think Jesus is a prophet and he came from God then listen to what he said and follow Mohamed(PBUH) and you will be on the right way to heaven cause you followed the truth and you obeyed Jesus who came from God.

We believe in Jesus too as well he told us to believe in Mohamed after him and i am sure that Christians who have a lot of knowledge and know the history would know all this , cause really the bible was been changed but the Quraan , God is protecting it.

You are right, the bible is a story of changing seasons, growth, death and renewal. It is confusing that so many things live then change and die throughout this account but it is still possible that changing seasons of life and understanding represent a common truth.

I have not read Quran, so I won't compare for you, however, when you compare do you think that overall consistence is the point of difference between the two books? or am I way off?

Hello. I disagree with you. The Bible has not been changed many times, nor does it contain any contradictions. It is the inerrant, living, powerful, word of God. God Himself is the author of the Bible. Do you not think God is able to keep His Holy word from being corrupted? Just because God inspired men to write it, does not mean it is corrupted. God watches over His word .Also, Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father. He has said so Himself, and He does not lie. He is one with the Father, and they are in complete agreement about every word written in the Holy Bible. Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father in heaven at this very moment. Ask Jehovah God to reveal the truth to you.
