Water Water Water. You can lose lots of weight by drinking water. Cut back on snacking, and fatty foods. Don't stop eating!

You simply need to change a few of your eating habits... and will flush that fat away faster than you put it on... The first thing you want to do is to start drinking 8 to 10 glasses of fresh water a day... Then, make sure you that your biggest meal of the day will be the one you have at breakfast; almost anything you want to eat at that time of the day will be burned off by the time you go to bed... and the more you eat at breakfast, the less you will need later on during the rest of the day... eat some raw nuts (about 3 of each) every morning or for recess... fruits should be eaten at different times by themselves... At lunch time, if you like fish such as sardines, wild salmon (even in a can!) but wild!!! would be great! And the last meal of the day should be vegetables and or legumes... without fats or proteins... the black eyed peas for example will turn your sugars into energy and will help you become lean and strong and much more energetic... If you try this healthiest way of eating (that THEY don't want you to know about, you will be in tip top shape... and everyone will ask you how you did it!!!)

Cutting back on junk food and sodas will make a big impact if you consume a lot of those. Just eat balanced proportions of foods that don't have a lot of sugar to them.

However, you are so young you don't need to worry about your weight so much. You are a growing kid and your body will proportion out as you get older. Your friends shouldn't be giving you crap about your weight anyway.

If it really bothers you, the most important thing to do is get the advice of your parents or family doctor. And don't even think about trying to starve yourself, it won't get you anywhere.

At 130 pounds... being over weight depends on your height.. which you didn't post...

but from a fellow girl on a diet.. here's my plans
i do not want to do anything drastic.
you can start by no longer eatting anything the school lunch includes... bring a salad with veggies to school and a side of fruits.. a sandwich w/mayo or anything fattening like that

for breakfast wholegrain cereal is good with a side of fruit
stay away from processed instant breakfasts

drink wise i have a lot of rules
1. NO POP
2. no juices with less than 50 % real juice
3. 2 glasses of water a day

hope that helps dear. =)

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

A lot of the people sent you very good advise....but......do not over do it on the water. It IS possible to drink too much water and that's not good for your body.

Just watch the carb intake such as bread, cereal, potatoes, rice, pasta....eat those in moderation. No candy, sugary desserts, mayo, butter and soda. A soda can contain the same amount of calories as a slice of cake (unless the soda is sugar-free). If you eat less processed food and eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meats....you are on your way.

how tall are you?? Honey- you're body is growing and changing and your weight is going to fluctuate- you are going to get hips, breasts, and butt- dont let your friends make you feel bad for becoming a beautiful woman- if YOU feel YOU need to lose some weight eat a lot of veggies and leaft greens- cut way back on sugar, no sodas, limit your pasta and overall size of your meals- drink lots of water. DONT stop eating! that only slows down your metabolism- eat 6 small meals a day of healthy proteins and veggies. eat whole grains and fruits. and dont forget to get off the couch!! being overweight in all honesty is a state of mind- you just need to love you- all of you! and forget your jealous friends! my best friend is a size 4 and i am a 12. she tells me that i am beautiful and sexy as does my boy- THAT is a friend- someone who makes you feel good about you.

Drinks:

- Skip soda, snapple, and any other sugary drink. These are empty calories, and don't really provide any decent nutrients.
- Green tea may help boost your metabolism, and it's just genrally really good for you.
- Skim milk is good, because it contains lots of protein and calcium, but very few calories. In addition, dairy products will elevate your body temperature slightly, encouraging your body to burn off more energy.

Food:

- lean or grilled meats, along with lots of fruits and vegetables. Make a special effort to ditch carbs- even if you order a meal with fries included, don't eat them.

- Spread your food intake throughout your day. This will keep your bloodsugar and insulin relatively constant, encouraging muscle growth and discouraging the storage of calories as fat. In order to do this, I generally carry a ziplock bag of cashews or almonds with me and snack throughout the day.

Dont skip your breakfast. Have good breakfast. Have medium amount of lunch. For dinner, have only 100% fruits. Eat protein rich foods and avoid carbohydrate rich fruits. Avoid- coffee, rice, fried food, cream, chocolates, meat, banana, guava, mangoes. Eat - boiled skinless chicken, boiled fish, seeds like corn, beans, wheat, plenty of juices, any other kind of fruits, toned milk. Drink plenty of water every day. Add less salt in your food. Walk atleast 30 mins daily. Try these. It will certainly work. I had reduced 16 kgs in 3 months time. U can mail me if you want more help.
