I have used a tens unit for many different areas of my body that have muscle pain and it worked very well. It takes time to get used to how much intensity you can use, you have to try different ones to see which Intensities works best for you. I think you will be happy with this in time.

I have been using a Comfor-Tens for close to 20 years, I believe it saved my life because I had a 6 month long period of muscle spasms that was leading me to serious thought's because no medication was helping or any other treatments that I tried. I finally had an acupuncture Dr. that wrote me a prescription for one because his treatments were not helping I am still using my TENS and the prescriptions that he gave me to this day. I don't have to use my TENS every day but close to it, some times I may have to wear it for 24 hours for days at a time and then I may have periods of several days without needing it but I never go anywhere without my TENS because I never know when the pain will start. My pain has grown worse in some ways over the years because I have adult scoliosis and because if this there have been times when I wear TWO TENS units at once and I have THIRD unit....I do not want to ever be without one.

I got one for neck pain and it helped me after a week or so. I have a friend who uses it for back pain and she said it took her a few weeks before it really helped.

i have used them before for my leg pain and they didn't work for me but may work for you. It's worth trying. It's just a small amount of shocking your muscles or where ever you put it. it won't and can't hurt you any more then you are hurting. I have RLS and it made it act up even more. anyways good luck and take care
