That's already part of my religious outlook. The Bible mentions "host of Heaven" several times and refers to God as "Lord of Hosts". 'Host' can mean 'a multitude'. I think extraterrestrial life has always been a factor in major religions (Old Testament book of Ezekiel, e.g.) - I don't know why it isn't talked about more or why it should be considered sacrilegious.

If we detect clever existence someplace else i don't see it changing something spiritually conversing.... besides, it won't substitute something previous how technologies has affected spirituality. think of of background and colonization. Explorers because of fact the commencing up of time got here across different civilizations and cultures and the two embraced those cultures or tried to dominate them and instill their customs on them. A clever existence from yet another area if the universe might have a manner of existence too and a spirituality in all probability... this new way of existence will the two be shared with us, dominate us or we are able to dominate that way of existence. that's the background of the international and that i don't assume it to be any distinctive between 2 worlds. I additionally assume that some atheists might use this as evidence that there is not any God yet that's no distinctive than the arguments made right now whilst stating the alterations interior the international's religions. *** in simple terms had to respond on on your remark that religious human beings have confidence that guy is created in same to God. maximum do not recommend this actually. additionally, the only significant international religions modern right now that perhaps include that concept are Judaism and Christianity.... and incredibly Judaism's texts generally contradicts that fact. what's significant in many situations to the optimum Western religions is that God is clever and is considerate and empathetic to guy and nature... The shell or actual physique isn't correct in this argument.... guy being invented in God's image might desire to easily as incredibly be correct to the intelligence and empathy and the physique isn't even a non secular attention.

It would have to change the theists' point of view. In addition, if there was life discovered elsewhere, then that would ruin the big business of religion. I would love it, to get rid of that corrupt entity called religion.
Makes you also wonder what would happen if that life on another planet believed in multiple Gods or no God at all, then what? Of course you are going to get the simpleton answers of "indeed God must have created them as well."

Not at all... The bible does not say that we are the only ones in the universe. Of course there is intelligent life elsewhere other than the milky way. It's kind of selfish to think we're the only ones in the universe.

Nope, I live a spiritual existence. I don't kowtow to organized religion. I would be surprised if there wasn't intelligent life on other worlds. Just consider the diversity of life on this world and then all the stars in the night sky. There surly is life out there....

Nope. I think that there probably is intelligent life elsewhere in the cosmos, so proof wouldn't bother me.

'Not a bit.
While I;m certainly not a Creationist, I do believe that God is responsible for the forces that created the universe. So if there's life elsewhere (and I suspect that there is) that fits into my beliefs just fine.

Absolutely not, do you think that God is only capable of creating one species, or that we know everything that he has done, or will do. The bible is our basis, our foundation, I am certain there are many things, that I have no comprehension of, or even an inkling of an idea how to even start to comprehend. So, my answer is no, if there is life "out there" that will find out about in the future, it would have no bearing on my belief in God. Forever true to the one who created me...

Not even a little bit>>> If it were discovered it would make me wonder what their interpretation of Jesus is. Or if Jesus ever needed to go there like he did for us....Remember God is the all mighty creator of all things. That includes the universe and all things in it.....God bless...

No, I'm a former Christian & now am somewhat atheist, but I think there are such beings as souls...it surprised me when "extra-solar" planets were detected & people had NOT expected that, it had never even occurred to me that all those stars were alone out there, I'd just automatically thought there must be planets out there as well.
