Why should they?
While China certainly has a number of disagreements/tensions in terms of policy with the USA - such as on Taiwan, trade issues, human rights, etc., they're not going to go so far as to go to war. They've also been getting away from the Cultural Revolution-style heavy-handed rhetoric when they voice objections because it hasn't been productive.
Look, China knows that their priority is economic security/industrial development, and they would be stupid to throw all the progress they've made in the last 20 years to spend it on a wasteful war. The US is also a very big trade partner of China - and it is a win-win situation for both the Chiense and the Americans to settle issues in a peaceful manner. And they've done so when a problem crops up - remember the AWACS plane collision with the Chinese fighter off the southern Chinese coast in 2001? You get a lot of big fightin' words from both Beijing and Washington, then everybody calms down and finds a settlement to the issue. There's no evidence that the US and China won't resolve future issues of contention in a less than peaceful manner.

Do you shop at Wall-Mart? China has a one million man army, another one million in reserve. They also have 10 times the number of tanks we have. They could invade the USA with half the force in reserve. Mexico or Canada could be a prime landing site.
The real question is.. Who would be fool enough to make that giant angry?

Make war? Probably not. Engineer a collapse of the US economy at a strategically advantageous time? Unlike, but not entirely implausible.

I'm not sure, but all the outsourcing of jobs is eventually going to eat away at American economics and probably undermine our current status as a world power.

Not at the rate that they are embarassing themselves with their tainted products, and unfair business dealings which mirror the so-called imperialists who were in Africa before them. Also, we need to let someone up to threaten us, in order to have a reason to frenzy ourselves into another financial and industrial boom. Who better than our former WWII allies?
