willow72: I understand what you are saying but if we just leave Iraq to the insurgents, wouldn't that mean that those who died died in vain? They sacrificed their lives to free the Iraqi ppl. Then again the Iraqi ppl want us to leave...its really hard to take a side on this issue

They don't appear to care.

If they think the war is wrong, they should just cut funds. I am becoming suspicious that they want the troops to come home just before the election so they can claim credit, with the expected and utterly predictable bloodbath only coming after November 2008. Why the magic of having troops home on September 30, 2008? The fiscal year? It's ridiculous.

Democrat Majority Leader, Senator Harry Reid and his Democrats, know this, and do not care. All they want to do is to get the War Lost, so that they can win the Presidential Election in 08.
They do not care how many Americans are killed in Iraq, and do not care that Iran and their Islamic Terrorists will take over Iraq and kill everyone who helped us in any way, shape or form.

Maybe it's because they (the insurgents) haven't stopped murdering people. They will continue until they have gotten all under their power.

Those for the time table don't appear to care what happens when we leave.

They'd rather bring our troops home, sending a signal that we will tuck and run when the going gets tough.

why can't you all understand that this isn't our war to be in. NO good has come from the 3334 US soldiers killed in Iraq.
