It seems like I just can't keep focus. I process tests basically. I look at it and know the answer or know what to do and start doing it. The thing is, sometimes I don't read it right. Sometimes I copy an answer wrong from one side of the page to the other side and then mess things up. Sometimes I don't notice that this number is a positive or a negative. Is there any good way to keep focus?

When I look over, I often read it the same way so I don't end up catching my mistakes...

I do the exactly same thing and my advice is that you reread the instructions a couple of times, and if that is not working then what i do --that helps me alot-- is that i will read the instructions backwards. So i would read the last sentence, then the next to last, then the thrid to last. You can catch mistakes with alot more accuracy. That way, your brain wont be as able to fuzz things up...lol... it has helped me so if you want you could give it a try!

Buht if that doesn't work i sugest eating a really big breakfast, listening to some calming music ( classical or new age --yah i know, ewww right! lol), and meditate... i am just a normal teenager (not a crazy yoga person), but if you can do it in the bathroom or something before you go to your class and it really does help.

ok well hope you get bettah grades!

It may not be adhd but it could be a mild form of anxiety that's if you don't have it every time you take a test. The main thing would be not getting frustrated that just makes it worse. stick to studying all your notes and information just because something seems/looks easy doesn't mean it is teachers love trick questions.. If the problem bothers/worries you maybe seeking out a psychiatrist comes to mind. If anything it could be stress. It can affect us differently sometimes, when you know you know the answer to a question what ever is on your mind kind of pushes that information to the side. try keeping a log on days that you have a test/quiz or day before. Log what was a stresser that day on a scale of 1 to 10 how bad was it certain things like that you can do. if its a recurring problem then you can fix it before it messes up you passing that next test. hope this helps

I would say you have a mild case of dyslexia. To deal with this problem you should ironically stop concentrating as much. Concentrating to much will trigger it and give you a higher chance of making a mistake. The best advice I can give you is to take the test with a less stressful outlook and go on your first instinct, then go over the test one more time to make sure everything was written down correctly and pass the test in. See what your results are after you do this once and go from there. Also, pay attention in class more and make sure to do all homework. This way you will won't have to study as much thus making your test taking a less stressful experience.

the night before your test make sure to get a good nights sleep. If you usually go to bed at 11 go at 9:30 just to b sure. The morning of your test eat a god breakfast and if there is time look over some notes. Before you take the test just keep telling yourself how important it is and that you need to do well on it. During your test try really hard to look at your paper and reread questions and your answers. If you notice your biting your lips, tapping your pencil, or daydreaming, you know your not focused! After the test do something for your self. Go play a sport, get and ice cream. Do something to "congratulate" yourself. Good Luck!!!! :-)

Are you sleeping well the night before?
Is something bothering you or preoccupying your thoughts that you are unable to concentrate?
Are you depressed?
Do you like what you are doing?
This is what I do:
Study gradually with breaks
Get a good night sleep the night before
Take vitamins and put a little sugar under your tongue to increase brain power
Do not panic take deep breaths and do a little meditation or quiet time every day.

happens to me sometimes. Drink A Monster or Amp Or something Before the test. You'll get hyped up and be energized to keep checking it over.

you should try organizing your answers with numbers, symbols, etc. What you can do is when you're at home, you can try trasferring information from a book or random scratchpaper to a piece of binder paper in a noisy or silent place, it doesn't matter. I hope this will help you in your success.
