Dobies are my favorite breed of dogs!!! Years ago I had gone to the phone company to pay my bill.I went inside & was standing in a long line. I had left the window down in the car since it was hot outside and Snoop was such a good boy, I didn't feel the need to roll it up..While standing in line I heard all these oohhs & awhs.Upon turning around to see what it was all about , in walks Snoop through the automatic doors. Can you just picture the looks on all these people's faces seeing a 100lb black/tan Doberman walking in? I told them all not to worry, that he would not hurt anyone. I got out of line and took him back to the car. Of course I did not scold him since he was just doing his job!! He must have thought I was in there too long and he seen all these strange people going in the same doors I had gone in. He was just making sure his mom was alright!! After putting him back in the car & rolling up the window alittle I went back inside and the people allowed be to have my spot back in line.Of course all of them had a change of heart towards my big boy then. I am sure everyone that was in there told this story as much as I have, if not more!!! Snoop is no longer with me, he is now at Rainbow Bridge and I miss him oh so much!!! Dobermans are very intelligent, a natural protector and extremely loyal & very trustworthy to his master to a greater extent than most other breeds. Currently I have three Doberman Pinschers, Snoop's mate Desire and two of their off springs, Velvet & Blazer, but even still there will never be another one to take the place of Snoop in my heart!!!!

Yes, we had one when I was little, his name was Toby...though we sometimes referred to him as Tobias or Bow Tie LOL...well, one time he found an abandoned litter of kittens in our barn and he took over, he carried them around gently in his mouth and layed down with them just like a mother cat would have! It was so funny! He was a really good dog, its a shame for some reason they tend to have a bad reputation.
