I've noticed this happening so far when I run McAfee VirusScan and WinAVI MP4 Converter. After a while the CPU time hits 100% and when I come back from doing something else the computer is shut down. I'm pretty sure that if I run something else it will probably shut the computer down as well. I went to the Housecall 6.5 website and it found a generic trojan that it removed, but when I run the programs it still shuts down. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!!

My guess is it is a heat related issue. Remove your case and check your CPU and power supply fans. If they are dusty blow them out. If they are not working replace them. Also since it is getting warmer in most places you might start seeing more heat related issues like this. Check to make sure your ventilation on the computer is not blocked. If it is in a cabinet get it out of there.
But I would have to say heat is the problem.

When you run these programs is there a check box that says shut down computer when task is finished? Also you might want to check your power saver settings.

Hello Dear
It may be your computer infected with virus ,Trojan or others so update your Anti virus and boot your PC in Safe Mode and scan it
OR
It may be from heating .Check your Fan on CPU it may be failure .(the major cause)

b/c winavi mp4..is a program..taht is not.."liked"..by..mcaffe..so it takes.the safe stance..and shut down

maybe your power saving features are active. go to the control panel and open power options.
