my kittens are five days old and three out of five are opening or have open their eyes. the fisrt born opened his eyes by day four, the next has one eye fully open this evening and the third isn't far behind. they were four days over due. all other kittens when i used to bred opened their eyes btetween 7 -10 days. my vet is confused as to why this is happening and has never heard of it before. these three are also quite big for their age and all have big paws. mum and dad are norwegian forest cats crossed with domestic long hairs. by the way this litter was an accident but i don't mind as have good homes for all of them.

all but one has their eyes opening and the last is not far behind. it is extremely rare for kittens to be opening their eyes. they must just be early developers? or i think if they had been born on the 17th april probably at the right time.

Well, if your cats are five days old, and were born four days over due... that would put them at being 9 days old, which is around the age (7-10 days) that kittens open their eyes. I don't think I would be concerned if I were you, as long as the eyes don't become infected. They may have also gotten more of the Norwegian forest cat, rather then the DLH breed, that would explain their larger size.
Good luck with your babies!

A cat will start to open it's eyes maybe in 1-3 weeks. If it doesn't open it's eyes by then, it has a problem. Most definitely.

not genuine. Its okay to puppy and carry the kittens from delivery, yet basically in mom's presense and not plenty till they are cellular with eyes open. you are able to not incredibly play with them different then petting them for awhile.
