People who are intimidated by tattoos just do not understand them.
A person's tattoos are a part of the person's personality and their experiences to get to where they are in life.
I see them as a form of expression of the person's search to find themselves.
You should not worry about what other people think of you so much. If you know you are a good person and you show it in you actions, then don't be concerned.
If someone has a problem with you because of your tattoos...then I would say it is their problem and they have to work it out for themselves.

I have 7 tatoos, and I'm not ashamed of any of them. I know that there are people that will judge you based on that, but htere are just as many that think tats are cool. The people that are put off by it are probably not people that you were planning to hang out with this weekend anyway, so who cares? If you are going somewhere that you think they aren't appropriate, like maybe a job interview, cover them up. Even employers are becoming more accepting in a lot af fields. My brother has a shaved head and tatoos on the left and right sides, so he looks a little iintimidating to some people, but he is the nicest person you would ever want to know. People can be judgemental, but who wants to hang out with them? Don't worry about it, tats are cool!

Don't be ashamed of them. If others don't like them they don't have to look! I mean after all it is your body not theirs. What is the big deal that people have to be afraid of or look down upon someone that has a tattoo? I have one. It doesn't make me a bad person. Don't worry about other people. Wear shorts and tank tops, let people look, and if they are brave enough to admit that they might possibly find them interesting they may want to know what they stand for to you. People I've known for years are just now noticing mine and I got it three weeks ago. It's about you, not others. Have a nice day!

I dont think you should be ashamed and I dont think you should regret them. If people are going to judge you by your tattoos then they arent worth your time anyway. I think you should just see them as history and a part of your past and know that you've learned and grown from those and that time in your life. You should accept them because I'm sure they've taught you some important things and you should never be ashamed of being a better person. If someone takes the time to talk to you, get to know you, and ask you about your tattoos then they're someone worth spending alittle time on. Talk to them about you then and you now and explain your tattoos and just say you might not be all into them now but you're just happy because you've grown and learned from them and that time in your life and its made you who you are today.

Get some self esteem bro. There is nothing wrong with tats. God, I wish I was a rock star so I could get them everywhere..sigh...

You should continue to be yourself, be proud of who you are and where you came from, even if you came from a 'bad' place. What you experienced makes you who you are today.
The people who are intimidated or put off by your tats obviously don't know you. I would guess that those who do know you understand where you've come from. If people are going to judge you based on your artwork, perhaps they are the ones not worth knowing.
I think most open-minded people would just ask what your tats are about without immediate judgement.

Never be ashamed of your body art.If any thing you could always find a cover up artist .My daughter is tattoo artist in Hawaii she does cover up's all the time. She's done my back over to improve a old tattoo. If people judge you that's their fault not yours...If your a Christian than feel blessed to tell how Christ has helped you overcome your past.Use them to help explain how He dosn't care what you were but what you've become!

Don't ever be ashamed of your tattoos! You got them for a reason, and you should be proud of them...they are part of you now. Just try to show people what a nice person you are before they have a chance to get freaked out.

No, you should not be ashamed. Maybe they don't represent you now, but it's a way to look back at where you came from. Do not worry about what other people think, although that can be easier said than done.
If you are a nice guy, that will come across, and people will get over their closeminded-ness and come around.
