Definitely back on your feet the next day was not a good idea. You should have rested for at least three days after a spinal tap. What you can do to help now is place an ice pack on the area of the injection for fifteen minutes at a time. Do this several times a day. Try and lay down as much as possible. Give your spine a chance to recover.

I don't think you will feel With drawls from xanax by switching to klonipin. They both have pretty much the same reaction in the body . Being nervous will only make the problem worse. Relax the medicine will be effective. it's going to take you a few weeks to recover from this procedure.

I have had several spinal taps and my neurosurgeon always tells me to lay as flat as possible for at least 24 hours after the procedure. If you went to work and were on your feet for 8 hours I would say that is your problem. try drinking lots of water that should build up your supply of cerebral spinal fluid. Hope this helps.

You should not have any significant withdrawals from switching from xanax to klonopin as long as he got the dosage right. Klonopin and Xanax are equivalent mg for mg. So say you are on 4 mg of xanax and you get switched to 4 mg of klonopin then you are on the same equivalent dosage and should not experience any withdrawals. See this page http://www.bcnc.org.uk/equivalence.html

Hope this helps.
