I was wondering what doble or doblar los codos means. the literal meaning is double or fold your elbows. whats the euphimistic meaning?

Kathryn, I tried some dictionaries on line to help you but ' til now no doblar los codos appeared. In the one from Real Academia Espanhola there's a lot of interesting expressions with "codo" but not this one. Now I'm curious, too! Are you sure its right???

In Spanish we say:
Doblar el brazo, when somebody is obligued to do something against his will.

It may be somebody stingy, closefisted, mean.
But, I am not sure if that is the expression you are looking for.
