Assuming step-dad is sleeping along with his own bio-child, no longer than age 2-3 with some good reasons to back it up.
It is most unusual for stepdad to sleep with his step-daughter alone... where is the bio-mom? If mom is in the home, why isn't she sleeping with her new husband or with the child, assuming she is having some separation-anxiety or nightmare issues.
So whatever the situation, especially if he sleeps alone with his step-child, there is inappropriate behavior going on.
You also failed to mention if this is for nap time or through the entire night... if through the night, mommy should be the one, not step-dad, or move the crib into the master bedroom... changes in sleeping arrangements need to be made to say the least!

This should never have started in the first place it's wrong and there are laws about this kind of thing Family and children services can and should remove the child from the home if this is going on! Charges can and should be laid.

i honestly hope this is not a real question. the step-father or real father whatever should never never sleep alone with the daughter. no matter the girls age. it should be turned in to the police, or child protective services right away.

my godness, I hope you are not the "stepdad"...or the "daughter"..if you are the stepdad, turn yourself in, if you are the daughter, call the police.

Fairly young so she is used to sleeping in her own room, but I wouldn't put a specific number on it as all children are different. Just randomly try putting her in her own crib every couple nights and see how she does. You can make the transition gradually or you can just toss her in the crib and let her cry it out. There's a number of methods to this, but only you as the parent will know what method works for you. I wish you luck !
