If a guy approaches you (and you find him quite handsome),starts hittin' on you coz he is obviously attracted to you, but through nerves when he is trying to act confident to impress you says something off putting do you instantly get turned off him ?or do you do something else?

lol at desireme's answer, your in there like swimwear lmao.the reason i asked this question is because alot of guys actually screw up by making the wrong first impression on a lady through being too nervous,i was only wondering if you are attracted to him do you let it slide and see if he can correct it or do you instantly move on..

every girl is different, as for me, if a guy says something goofy, I think it is funny and cute, but I guess it depends on what he says. Personally, I don't like pick-up lines, I think they are cheesy, I think if you are honest and don't try to impress people... it leaves a better impression (no pun intended)

Not necessarily. I am usually tolerant and try to recognize "shy" guys or guys that don't have much confidence and give them a much greater learning curve and room to move than the overly confident STUD type. I mean, it is usual for people to say wierd things when they are nervous. Some people laugh at times that would otherwise seem inappropriate because they don't know how to behave...especially if it is someone they are attracted to. One peice of advice...Don't act like something or someone you arent. This IS a turn off.

LOL if I can tell that he's attracted it wouldn't be a turn off but I'm gonna laugh at him real hard....that shouldn't mean that he should give up and not even try though. I'll laugh because it's nice to see that I'm not the only one who sticks my foot in my mouth at the worst possible time.

It depends on what was said. Some people who are really nervous say the most odd things, so there's a good chance that I would just laugh it off and let it slide. However, if he said it with a straight face, then that would be all she wrote.........

it depends on the situation and what was done/said. if he's hot and i'm feeling him, i might let it slide for the moment. but it all depends on the female and how she's feeling you.
personally, when i'm out and i'm approached by a man i know immediately if he's even going to get a chance to state his claim. most guys don't make it passed that initial hello. if they do, i'll give them about 5 minutes beofre i go the other way. bottom line, if you're able to hold our attention for longer than 10 minutes, you're in there like swim wear!!! =)

confidence is always an attractive thing in a person. unfortunately not everyone is cool as ice, and fortunately most people are understanding. you could look at it as being flattering that you have that effect on the guy
also proven fact: women are more likely to wanna settle down with this personality, than a cocky b*stard
ps i am a girl in case the picture confuses you

I think it would depend on how "off putting" it was.. of course there is also a difference of acting confident and coming across as arrogant. Be yourself! It's way better and if your in it for something more than a one night stand, she's going to figure out it was an act if you hang around, so it's worth it in the begining to ... be yourself!

It would totally depend on what he said - something creepy or pervy then yes it would be an instant turn off - but depending on how hot he was - I might make allowances!!!

well, it depends on what he says, he may have just meant it as a compliment or something and it came out wrong. Maybe he’s just nervous. Well, if what he said wasn’t disrespectful or anything, I would leave it to his personality whether I get turned off or not.

I would probably laugh it off. I can see he is trying his best ti impress me and slips up. Hey nobody is perfect, it shows he is nervous too and not too over confident
