If it is bakers chocolate is when it is very dangerous to them- you want to avoid giving this to them at all. the ingredient mainly found in bakers chocolate is called theobromine. A naturally occurring stimulant found in the cocoa bean, theobromine increases urination and affects the central nervous system as well as heart muscle. Other choclates they can have in small amounts- it would take alot of chocolate to kill them unless it is baking chocolate. Chocolates from say a candy bar may upset their stomach, but would not do them any more harm than that, but bakers chocolate from say a cake would probably kill them. Chocolate is additing to dogs as it is to humans, so you want to try to give it to them as little as possible.

My Mom always told me the same thing. I was told that it can give a dog seizures. Our dog has gotten a little bit different times by snatching it in secret, but she's always ate the wrapper & all & thrown it all up. Bottom line- I tell my kids the same thing. It's not good for dogs!

The cocoa plant is a poisonous to dogs and cats. Plus the sugar hurts their bodies(fat, etc.). Yes, this is true. I know a dog who died of kidney failure from chocolate.

Cause the theobromine in chocolate is poison to dogs.. Chocolate is full of sugar and rots their teeth, and increases their likelihood of developing diabetes.

Dogs can't have because if it gets in their system somehow it could they live in the future by having medical problems.I don't suggest giving your dog chocolate at all.
