My boyfriend and I been having problems lately. But we've been planning a beach trip for over a year. We're supposed to go to his brother's college graduation next month, actually in less than three weeks (graduation is May 12th). Should I break up with him now or later?

Do it now if you're going to do it. The longer the wait the harder it will be on both of you. And if you decide you don't want him in your life, he deserves to know now. Its only fair.

Well everyone has problems, but if you love this guy you work through the problems. Nobody ever said love was easy. It's all the bad times you have that get you to the next good time. My grandparents have been married for over 75 years and they didn't always get along. But they stood by each other and have four children and twelve granchildren and two great grandchildren.
But, if you don't love him and are just out for a trip to the beach then you don't deserve him. It depends on how you feel. Only you can decide when to break up with him.

If you want to break up with him regardless, do it now. If you think it can be saved, and you two are just stuck in a rut, then try riding it out. Sometimes, when the going gets tough, you have to be tougher. But like I said, if you've made up your mind about breaking up with him, then do so now. It would be better for the both of you.

Break up with him now. You did'nt ask should I break up with him or not, you asked now or later meaning you've made up your mind. Be honest and end it now despite the plans you've made. This will give him time to make any plan changes if need be financially, etc... It would'nt be fair to you if it was him in your shoes (and I know you thought about it) so dont delay it. Please do the right thing and dont cheat him or yourself out of being with the right one.

now... i understand that there are previous commitments you've made to him, but you are NOT going to be happy or have a good time if you go on a trip with him, or the graduation. it will be rough, and you may seem cold, but you have to do what's best for you. good luck, and there are plenty of guys out there. you'll find your prince charming.

I understand that it seems difficult because of all of the prior engagements that you have going, but I would say depending on how unhappy you are in your relationship with him right now depends on how long you should wait. If you are really miserable then you should do it now because just prolonging it will not help anyone.

If u r just staying with him for the trips break up with him now because that's not fair to him if u don't really love him.

Do it now. If not, the graduation will be miserable, not only for you but probably for him and his family as well. Drama is the worst, you're better off getting it done as soon as possible. Don't drag it out...
