I bring home work from office and vice versa. If I have XP Professional at my work using MS office 2003 and if I get a new laptop for my home with vista and MS office 2007, will I encounter problems opening, reading and working on word docs or excel files?

2007 does actually use different file versions, but you should have no problems. 2007 will read the 2003 file formats, so no problem taking stuff from work to home. As for taking stuff from home to work, just make sure when you save stuff in 2007, you save as the old 2003 file format, which is an option.

Hello Dear
Office 2007 supotrs all foramte of prevuse versions you can make your document in 2003 and open them in 2007 and when you work with 2007 you can save your documents in 97-2003 format and open it in them too.Go to File select Save As and go to 97-2003 format option (in 2007 office only)
Good luck
