My friend invited me to dinner at this Chinese place with her boss, for a propasal of some sort, and I told her I knew how to use chopsticks so i wouldnt seem shallow, and I dont understand the instructions on the chopstick wrapper?!?!? PLEASE HELP!

The simplest way is to hold the first chopstick like you would a pencil then put the other chopstick underneath it. The chopstick underneath stays still and you move the chopstick on top up and down to hold and release the food.

Take one chopstick and pinch it in the "V" at your thumb joint. Then take the second chopstick and hold it like a pencil between your forefinger and middle finger (as you usually would when holding a pencil). You move this chopstick up and down to grasp things like a pincer. Keep holding the other one tight.

Deftly using chopsticks takes years of practice. You'll never pull it off without looking foolish - even if you start practicing today

It would be very difficult to explain the manipulation of the fingers...you need pictures(may check the web)...or

Just buy some fake vomit and opt out of dinner or just order brothy soup and use a spoon.

Step 1- break them in half and then again
Step 2- throw them away
Step 3- use a fork!!!!!!!!!!
