Here's the Signs I've picked up :
1-Hugs, Hugs and more Hugs (in one day also including hand holding at times)
2-Defending me at all times
3-Hugs from behind out of nowhere
4-Doesn't want to be embarrassed in front of me
5-Smiles when i enter a room and always waves
6-Smiles when our eyes meet and says sumthing nice or turns her head
7-Laughs at all my jokes
8-Calls me her "brother" but its pretty obvious brother/sister dont act the way we do
9-Refuses to not giv me a bday present but doesnt want anything in return
10-Says she looks up to me and always thinks of me as this great being or sumthing.
There's some more but its probably too much. It may seem pretty obvious but for sum reason its just not hitting me. And I don't wanna ruin the great friendship.

Dude, you had me all convinced until the brother part. A similar situation happened to me with a girl that I never became more than friends with. I was a perfect gentleman and she always gave me surprise hugs, etc. etc..., but I never did anything more until one day, I was walking with her and she told me I am so nice to her...ta ta ta ta...like a brother. From that moment on, I knew that I wasn´t gonna get anywhere. I don´t wish to have done things differently, but if I really wanted her that bad, I would´ve probably tried to connect one of her hugs with a passionate kiss. But time (for now) only goes forward, so just realize that you are probably in the dreaded ´friend zone (ahhhhhhh, scream and music from psycho)´. But there are always other girls. Good luck.

My best friend is a guy and i treat him the way this girl treats you. I dont want to hurt your feelings but i love him as a mate, nothing more. we once tried to have a thing...but its never the same when its official. I mean...she probably like to be around you and feels safe...so she can touch you, hug you...even hold hands with you but she will never get judged by you. She sounds like a flirt...nothing more nothing less. Likes to be with you but not in a lovey...or she would have made a move...sounds like she had plenty of chances...if im wrong let me know though. I may be miss judged.

i lived the exactly same situation 2 months ago and now we r together!from best friends!and i also told him i thought him like a brother,but never ment it.and he liked me too but,because he wasn't sure if i liked him,he waited a long time to do the move...but it worth it!and believe me,u r not ruining any friendship!and if u r that close,as you say,u will also be afterwards.and,after all,u r not exactly friends right now...since it's quite obvious u both have feelings for each other.

Hmmm got a definate "angel effect" going on at very least. Maybe you should mirror some of that back at her...preferably understanding it a bit better or trying to at least. She is giving more signals than even in love with me gals have ;)

i dont wanna be a spoiller, but she's acting like a sister. My school as a big "family tree" that some girls made and my "grandmother" treats me that way and she has known me since i was 2 years old and she has a bf, we are kinda of brothers.
