I am building an RR and i need ideas on how to build a walk through section so i dont have to bend down to get in the center your help would be much apprecated thanks

The chief requirement is that the lift out section be very precisely placed, up and down and side to side. If hinged on one end, it has to swing up and away (the pivots above the line of the rails) and be well supported at the other end. If a straight lift out, then it must rest on a ledge so the the travel across the rails is level and it must have side keys to position the narrow rails precisely. Also the electrical connection must be made positively, either with a plug and outlet or with positive sliding contacts on the keys. If the layout has blocks, the liftout section is normally a separate one or the end of one. In a slightly fancier setup, taking out the bridge kills the power on both sides of the gap so a train can't run into the gap.
