First trip over he takes the duck and returns empty, second trip he takes the fox over leaves the fox and returns with the duck, leaving the duck back on the original side, third trip over he takes the corn and leaves it again with the fox on the other side, returning to the original side empty..at this point he has the corn and the fox across the brook and the duck is on the original side, so when he crosses the brook for the final time he will pick up the duck again and join the fox and the corn on the other side

First he will take the duck, because the fox wont eat the corn.
Then he will go back and get the corn. He will drop it off where the duck is. Then the farmer will take the duck back, he will drop it off where the fox is. He will take the fox to the boat and place it with the corn. He will go back again and get the duck. and he will mak his last trip and the three things and the farmer willbe together.

Cross with the duck, leave it. Grab the fox, bring it over, take the duck back with you, leaving just the fox. Drop off the duck and grab the corn, cross, leave it with the fox. Go and retrieve the duck. All are across safely and none are eaten.

carry the duck across first, then go for the fox, carry the fox across, bring back the duck with him.
Get the corn across and leave it with the fox(he won't eat it of course), then he should go back for the duck and bring it across.
