Honor attendant is correct, but you should also list the best man as an honor attendant as well, that way its balanced. ie: Bride's Honor Attendant: John Smith
Grooms's Honor Attendant: Robert Jones

Bridesmaids: List

Groomsmen:List

I think thats great that you are having your best friend who is a guy stand up with you. You can still call him Best Man I thnk or I like the suggestion about Brides Honor Attendant.. anyway you choose to do it is ok!

I think having him stand on your side would be awesome, I don't know why people are so stuck with traditions that are so far out of date. Why don't you talk to him and your hubby to be about what to call him. Man of Honor would work.

Good luck!

If you want your guy friend to stand up with you on your side of the party, go for it. I know a girl that did it. Actually, the groom had a girl on his side too! I would go with Honor attendant.

My best friend, other than my husband, was also male. Since he became good friends with my fiance as well, we made him a groomsman and he stood up on my fiance's side. But in this situation, I would recommend you have your friend stand up for you on your side and refer to all of your attendants as honor attendants. This way you don't have to worry about titles (bridesmaid, groomsmen, man of honor, etc.).

He would be called an Honor Attendant and dressed as the other groomsmen.

A friend of mine had a guy as her "sean of honor" because his name was Sean. It was kinda cute. She had him wear the same color tie as the bridesmaids. Her husband had a woman on his side and she wore the same color dress as the groomsmen's ties. I honestly think you can call him whatever you want though. It depends on how formal you wedding is.

Sure! It's your wedding and if your soon to be hubby is fine with that then go for it. Man on Honor is a good name.

I'm actually in sort of a similar situation. I'm really close to my brother and wanted him in the wedding, but he's not really that close to my fiancee. Plus, I didn't want my fiancee to feel "forced" that he had to choose my brother to be one of his groomsmen. It actually worked out both ways because my fiancee also has a sister, who he's close to, but she's not all that close to me. So, we decided that my brother would stand on my side and my fiancee's sister would stand on his side. I actually just call my brother the "bridesman"...=). Some people have questioned this because it's not that "traditional", but it's our wedding, and we think this is the best way for it to be. Good luck!

You could go with that, but I prefer Honor Attendant. Yay for you for going with your heart and not just tradition!
