OK, I confess. I'm an atheist and I'm suffering a progressive hearing loss as I age. A friend gave me a CD to listen to and I popped it directly into the stereo. Sounded like pretty conventional rock & roll to me. Then my wife came home and asked why I was listening to religious music. Had I suffered a stroke? Had I lost my mind? Only then did I read the liner notes. "Gospel what?!?!" I felt like I'd been duped, but the truth is I pretty much liked the music as long as I didn't know what it was, largely because I've given up trying to understand song lyrics years ago. I have to conclude that I like Christian music as long as I can't hear the message.

I love classical music, and much of that is considered "Christian" as the church was the sole support for a lot of musicians and composers for a time. When I was still singing, the vast majority of what I sang was church music (Lauridsen, de Victoria, Beethoven, Bach, etc). I also love old-style gospel.

Can't handle the new "praise music" and Christian "rock" that's out now, though. Uck.

I just got finished working out to Raised on Radio CD by Journey and I am a Christian. So why couldn't it be vice versa..you don't have to be a Christian to listen to Christian music..glad you like it.

i'm pagan and like pagan music. i also like heavy metal - much of which is about christianity, and mentions god. i also like classical and classic rock and don't mind opera.

i watch documentaries on paganism, christianity and other religions. good for you for admitting that you are open minded enough to appreciate something a little different!

You know how to turn a secular song into a Christian one ?

Just substitute "lord" or Jesus where "baby" is in the song and you have Christian music
