i'm 17. i just got my very first speeding ticket. i was going 36 in a 20, and on the ticket paper the officer checked the box that says "go to court" on the other paper that he gave me, it has a list of expenses for each speeding (1-10 mph over speed limit is $75, etc.) instead of a dollar amount, it says COURT. i was hoping to just be able to pay it off, and not go to court. i'd still tell my parents because they'll find out anyways. but since i have to go to court, and one of them has to take off work to come with me, it's a pretty big inconvience. not to mention extremely embarrassing. any suggestions on how i can tell them i got a ticket, with out them being eternally pissed at me?

This is your chance to be a man. Tell them . Admit it. they're going to find out anyway, and if they hear it from anybody other than you, the fur is really going to fly.
Sure, they'll be pissed. They'll get over it.
Do it today. It is not going to go away.

The best thing you can do is to just tell them. Be sure you own up to it and tell them that you realize it was wrong. You sound pretty responsible for realizing it will be a bit of an inconvenience. I think every teenager goes through this. You made it all the way to 17?

Please be safe. I hear about too many ridiculous accidents involving teens driving.

First Try to tell a story:
begin like this:
"Father, Mom, listen to my friend's story, 2 months ago Jack, one of my best Friends was driving whit his Dad's car in the Mayson Street and he was driving 36, (the limit is 20 there!) suddenly a School Bus appear es and front of his car crashes to the middle of the Bus. It was an awful Crash, they take Jack to HOSPITAL and he goes to ICU.
Doctors had an CPR on him, after 35 Minutes Jack came back, but now he can't move his limbs and only he can sense upper his neck! he wets his clothes and cant pee voluntary. and ..."

just try to tell it very dramatic! after finishing your story when your parents are in deep Sadness, tell them: "one day I had driven in that street whit 36! and It was my chance I didn't crash. Thanks GOD! you see? you have your boy healthy!"

after they Thank God, take of the Ticket! and tell we should really thanks God, Maybe we should go to church for that, but I think there is a more important place we should go first, Court! Its an honor for you that u go to court instead of HOSPITAL. "

Good Luck!

Leave it in a place where they can find it while you are not home and get some body armor while you are out.
