One of the greatest things you can do
It changes peoples lives and the pay is great
My Fiancee is in the army and she loves it
My uncle use to live off TV Dinners because that all he could afford and joined the army... became a Command Sergeant Major and now he gets paid about 400 a day..
Best to join is the Army National Guard however.. you can stay in your area and get the same if not better benifits than Full time Army...
Good luck and God bless

As long as you understand what that means and you're okay with that, then yes, you should join. If you're going to join just to be a malcontent and are only going to lower the morale of your fellow troops, then you shouldn't join. But if you really want to join the military, I'd suggest going into the Air Force. If you choose to go in, just make sure you sign up for the GI Bill in Basic training, in case you want out later to get your education.
Good luck!

Only if you are desperate to see Iraq. Really, once you join you are stuck and technically US Gov't property. You will have no free will. On top of that you will get paid crap. A recruiter is going to talk it up like it's the greatest thing you could do with your life (hey, it's his job!) but trust me, it isn't. My brother was in the military and I've never seen him so happy as when his time was up!!!!

If you are seriously considering this you should talk to a recruiter to find out the benefits and discuss it with an adult who is very close to you and you trust (a friend's parent, a aunt or uncle, your pastor) and your parents. Good luck and God Bless.
