This has been an ongoing problem for 2-3 years. My stomach almost always hurts and I always look like I am really pregnant-super bloated. It sucks. Sometimes I will be in severe pain, sometimes just a little; sometimes it hurts before I eat, sometimes after; evey once in awhile there is no pain, but still major bloating. No matter what I eat & drink or don't eat & drink-nothing helps. I have been to a million doctors & had even more tests done & no one can tell me what's wrong. They say it's stress-no; IBS-no, acid reflux-no. I do not have any food allergies or ulcers, etc. I have searched tons of health websites, etc-nothing. I'm tired of looking pregnant, epecially when I had a flat stomach & tired of being in pain 24/7. I have taken so many pills and none worked.

I have tried the webmd site; the acidiphilous pills, had MRIs etc-I know I need another opinion-I've seen like 4 Drs. but I just wanted to see if anyone here knew anything that I haven't thought of or had these symptoms.

If you've already run the gamut of digestive disorders and the medics have found nothing wrong, chances are you could have unrelated conditions that affect the stomach, such as kidney disease, gall bladder or gall stones, or pelvic disorders such as ovarian cysts or endometriosis. You probably need a complete physical work-up, concentrating on these other areas of your body. If everything tests out normal, then the diagnosis of stress could be correct, as stress can produce all kinds of scary symptoms, including abdominal bloating. I'd see an internist rather than a gastro-enterologist, as the G.I. doctors only concentrate on the digestive system; whereas an internist can pinpoint problems in other areas of your body. Good luck, hon, this must be very distressing for you, and I hope you can get some help.

you say you've been to a million doctors, but have they done an untrasound or an MRI, they seem to be reliable tests, have you charted the foods you eat and things you drink to see whether you are affected by some more than others?
would you consider going to a place like Mayo clinic? They have highly reputable specialists in all different areas.
Best wishes, know it can't be easy and hoping you get some relief for good soon!

Start keeping a foods diary to see if there is a pattern to your symptoms.

Have you read up on gluten intolerance? Its not an allergy its a sensitivity. Many people have it and don't realize it, doctors wont diagnose it until its changed the villi in the intestines and by then its too late the damage is done. Its a genetic problem.

Two problems here, first the pain, bloating and it might be due to the in balance of the bacteria in your intestine. Try a good pro-biotic drink for a few weeks. As for a flat belly, well you need to exercise to tone the muscle up.

There are many toxins and things like heavy metals out there that affect our health. Taking any ol' pill won't necessarily fix it. Evaluate what you can about what is really going on and be objective about it and not subjective. Check out the RDA for minimial % of what may be needed and consider your diet. Are you getting what you need? You can hire someone like a doctor to look into it and/or learn more about it yourself - but take it with a grain of salt and don't be tainted or discouraged or distracted by claimes of a cure-all.

Are you constipated? That stretches out your colon so your stomach sticks out. If you are, try Miralax(finally over-the -counter)heaping tablespoon a day mixed with water, an apple a day and aerobic exercise 6 days a week 20 minutes. (miralax much cheaper thru a doctor). If you're not constipated, try large doses of selenium (ask a pharmacist how much.) Otherwise, I think you need to start seeing specialists in internal medicine. Good luck to you.

i would have guessed stomach ulcers just because i have those and it causes severe stomach pains and a slight bloated feeling. If you have seen doctors that have said its neither stomach ulcers or any of the problems that you have listed i suggest you going to see a specialist. not all doctors are able to tell you whats going on inside your organs. dont depend on the answers you get here on yahoo answers or on any health websites. go and see a specialist.

I saw something like this on tv once and it was a little boy and they found a tape worm inside of him. It made his stomach really bloated looking and stuff. See another doctor.
