Well, rain is actually a sing of life, in my eyes. I mean, if nature after the first rains of the season (in certain places) everything is new and fresh The air smells fresh. There are new blooms everywhere. Plants can grow, animals have food and water. No, rain is not bad luck, nor good luck. Rain is merely the earth's way of sustaining life.

I can see however why people may see it as good luck, as it may represent to some people a start of something new.

I had an outdoor wedding and it rained on my wedding day. People told me it was good luck but not sure if that helped.

But in May it will be 4 years of a great marriage. I personally do not believe that weather can determine a certain amount of "luck" in your life.

It's a form of sour grapes, but the other way around. "Sour grapes" comes from someone not being able to reach some grapes that are high up, then saying, "Well, they're probably sour anyway".

This is just the opposite. Your wedding is ruined because of rain, so people like to tell the couple that it is good luck to make them feel better.
