Most of what passes for "ministry" on TV is a bunch of snake oil salesmen (and ladies), that have little in common with the Christ of the Bible.

For latter_rain: Harold Camping is a false prophet. He predicted that Christ would return to earth on September 6, 1994. He even published a book on it. It didn't happen. Then he decided that the church was apostate, and begged believers to "come out from among them" which is against what Christ taught.

If the Scripture is correct, we aren't to listen to the false prophets. (Deuteronomy 18:22)

I can't. The hypocrisy is too great. It is a bit like professional wrestling. A long commercial to get the public up for the pay events and trinkets.

The actual spiritual information is so watered down, it's pitiful. And it is incorrect in several places.

I do sometimes... but it seems now days' TV evangelists are a little outrageous, with tons of makeup and huge jewelry and ask for money or want you to buy something more than they preach. However, Joel Osteen is a good preacher and seems like a nice guy; I suggest watching him out of anyone.

Dear mike,

You are disobeying the Bible. The church age ended in 1988. Read "The End Of The Church Age And After" by Harold Camping.

Not really... I don't like watching ministries on TV too much... It seems to me that they are as "corporate" as any other station. They are out there to make money too... Like that Holy water for sale crap... PLEASE!!!!!! Jesus needs to come down and runs these guys out with a whip, like he did in the good ol' days.
