I have a secret panfish hole on a lake I live on or near that I can go to and catch very good gills and redear almost everyday.I have taken customers and buddies to this spot and we have caught anywhere from 20 to well over 300 fish! The average size is between 6" to 11" fish and be caught nearly evey time I have taken ppl to it.I have a deal with the guys if it is catch and release we will have fun catching but if you want to keep I limit guys to 20 fish.
How I keep this hole secret is I never use a depth finder and I switch from hole to hole never spending long at my main hole. And to prevent over catching in this hole I pull anchor and drift and tell the guys that we need to move it seems the fish have stopped biting! This trick and a few others has saved the hole from being over fished so far.

I stumbled on mine by accident, I was actually fishing a white trout tourney on the Tensaw River in south Alabama, using a cane pole and minnows. I pulled out 56 bass, 6-12lbs, within 2 1/2 hours. I'd never caught a bass on a cane pole before. I forgot all about the trout tournament that day! Everytime I go to that spot, it's the same way, and so far, no-one else knows about it. I take care that no other boats are around before I drop anchor and start fishing. I haven't been down to my fish camp on the river yet this year, but I know some biggun's will be waiting when I get there.

Its still a secret .... lol
I have a small trout stream in NC that is full of native brook trout . I go there and camp for a couple days and take a frying pan and oil and cook fish and enjoy nature.
I have caught hundreds of fish there
I have other places that are not "secret" but I use secret tecniques to catch the fish . And have secret holes on public lakes where I catch large fish. One place is Santee Cooper I have a cove there where I can always catch a 40 + pound catfish . I had to let my secret out because I have to take a friend with a boat to fish it. Its still a good spot though. My biggest was a 64 pound Flathead catfish there

I was camping and one year when I was 12 years old. I had been fishing from 6 in the morning and it was already noon. So far I had only caught 2 bass. The only time I stopped fishing was when I ate lunch. I decided to try a senko and on the 2nd cast I had a nice sized bass in. I kept fishing with the senko for the rest of the day. When I went in to eat dinner my thumb was so torn up I could not even lip a fish, I had caught 25 bass!

There was a lake, about the size of a football field, near my home(it is now a wal-mart super center). But in the spring I would get a can of cat food and with a nail punch holes in it.I would then find a willow tree and tie this can in the branches. The flies would lay eggs and the maggots would fall into the lake and attract bream.
We would catch a limit in 30 minutes.

i live in the east kootenay region of British Columbia. being a lifetime local i know of a few "secret" spots that are amazing for cutthroat trout fly-fishing. one day my fishing buddy and i went out to my favorite spot for a day of fun and when we got there there was a huge Lincoln Navigator with New Jersey Plates parked at the trail head. of course i grumbled and cursed because it was a spot only locals knew about. i got over it and got my gear together and was just about to start walking in when the owner of the big SUV came up the trail and yelled "hey Mike!". it was Scott Neidermayer and his younger brother Rob home for some downtime after the NHL hockey season was over. i've known them both for years as they both grew up here. it worked out well we all fished another stretch of the river and had a good time. we got invited to a party later that year and sipped champagne out of the Stanley Cup when Scott had it brought to town after the Devils won it that spring.

I catch thousands of fish every year of all different kinds,in most of the larger lakes(not the great lakes) of michigan. The kinds are crappie, bluegill, sunfish, bass, striped bass, catfish, bullheads, pike, carp, and others. The secret never got out,and it never will, because most people are moving out of michigan.
