I was told that on a recent Jeopardy show the question, "What is the most accurate translation of the Holy Scriptures?" was asked, and all I want to know is if it really was asked on Jeopardy and on what day and year?

Yes there are bible questions asked on Jeopardy, I can ace that catagory every time. I watch it every night at 7:30. I don't recall that one but I do miss the odd show here and there.
I think the King James would be the most accurate, rather than these recent wishy washy translations.

My heavens, I never have been flashed, but I did unintentionally flash a few folks once. I was in the hospital some time back and decided to take a stoll to the vending area. Well, I wasn't thinking about what I was wearing and, let's just say that those hospital gowns don't leave a lot to the imagination on the backside. The nurse came up from behind me and put a blanket over my shoulders . . . I was wondering why it was a little drafty back there!

As I understand it, a similar question was just recently asked on Religious Jeopardy, a non official format. It was something along the lines of, which translations are connected to what religions.

I have personally studied this rumor. The question was never asked. Jeopardy does not ask opinion based questions.

The question originated from a "made up" version of Jeopardy.

Unless a person is very knowledgeable in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic, they really couldn't answer that and neither could some expert on Jeopardy.

No it wasn't. It is stupid question, anyway. Accurate depends on the needs. There is word for word and thought for thought translations and they are both accurate.

This is a myth perpetuated by the Jehovah's Witnesses. This is an "urban legend" that makes the rounds every six months or so.

It never happened. (At least not the way the Jehovah's Witnesses tell it.)

Write to them and ask. They often have questions from Religion or the Bible on there.
