more pieces of bread or blood from the body of Christ?

What is the purpose to get more of the flesh and blood?

There is no need for you to eat or drink more. If you are hungry, that is not the nature of the substance. It is not there to satisfy physical hunger, but spiritual hunger.

If you plan on giving it to someone else in the church, then the eucharistic ministers or priest can go to the person in question (such as a handicapped person who can't make it up to the front).

If you plan on taking it to someone else (at home, nursing home, whatever) then that is also the job of specially trained ministers or priests. Contact the church office and let them know the person, address, etc...

I hope that answers your question.
Hey Jessica K - thanks for the insulting comment about our religion!
Thegreatseeker and Sarah G - that isn't Catholic. In the Catholic church, we believe the items actually are transubstantiated into the very real body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ. Protestants (for the most part) who use grape juice tend to see it as a representation. A symbol. And heck, eating/drinking the materials BEFORE it has been transubstantiated isn't a problem either. A little weird in the Catholic church, but no wrong then what you are talking about.

It wouldn't be a sin, but it would be kind of stupid. Communion is symbolic, so it doesn't matter whether you eat 1 or 10 communion wafers at a time. It will do your soul good to take communion more often. So if you're so fond of wafers and wine, just show up more often.

It depends on the reason behind the question. For instance if you dopped the first piece it is not a sin, but if you were simply trying to be funny it could be considered blasphemy.

I don't think it is a wise thing to ask for more elements of the communion. I could be wrong, but I myself wouldn't ask.
