i don't get any pop up block warning or i havn't downloaded any google or yahoo toolbar even on download.com message come 'thankyou for downloading' but downloading doesn't start.

more than likely its your security settings if you get a pop up blocker warning(( usually at the top of the page) grant pop ups for that site, or grant access through your firewall .

Do you have Yahoo or Google toolbar installed ? they will block the popup for the download to work.

If you get a yellow bar appearing under the address bar, you'll need to click onto it and "allow download".
