my child has asthma and .allergies . he has been on xopenex since 2 years of age he is also on zyrtex, singulair, advair and nasonex. they tested him and he is at # 5 on the scale 6 being the worst. they want him to start 3 shots a week but the side effects because he has asthma can cause severe complications. is there alternative procedures for his allergies . other than the shots is there alternative doctors in texas

i am not taking him to get the shots till i find out something a better way, when i had allergy shots it was just one, this doesnt sound right to me. i have always followed my gut and when it comes to my child i will do whatever it takes to protect him. thank you to any responseds to this question its greatly appreciated

I had three allergy shots per week when I was on shots. They split up the vials so they can tell if he reacts to a certain one. However, when I had the shots, I went once per week and got all three shots at once.

my son gets a allergy shot once a week.
he is also on Zyrtec, singular and nasonex.
try honey, locally produced honey.
all those bees are picking up all that
pollen around your house. if you take one teaspoon a day is like one allergy shot. that's the advice we got.

get another doctor to look at him before you start anything else, please go and ask someone else, I'm an RN and I'm telling you for your won good, that just don't sound right.
