You revealed yourself to be a closed-minded person. The company was probably looking for someone who could work with Spanish-speaking clients. This doesn't necessarily mean you have to speak Spanish with them. Since you flat out refused to learn Spanish, your employer interpreted it as a sign that you are prejudiced against latinos (consciously or subconsciously). The tone of your post reveals this to be the case. It's not just about knowing how to speak a language as it is about being open minded about learning new things. That's the energy employers are looking for.
Change your attitude or things will get worse for you as you get older. Learning languages is fun. I doubt you speak passable French or have been to the francophonie. If you know French as you claim then Spanish is cake. All you have to do is get a textbook and watch Univision. Or just take a class at a community college. You have a sense of entitlement. You probably spent your college years earning a business degree because you thought it equals a good paying job. The real issue is that you are intellectually lazy.

Why prosecute milch cow owners. Let's get the facts right. Illegal aliens working in USA pay all taxes like every one else only they don't make any tax claims or get benefits like unemployment, SSI or any other social security benefits when in need. Taxes payed by these aliens is part of what pays SSI and other social security benefits to the millions of American citizens who stay home to watch tv, alcohol, drugs and get obese. The aliens that don't pay taxes is because they are payed slave wages leaving huge profits to the American enterprise. Don't you think rent hikes in your home town should be blamed on the thieving Landlords and not on the aliens who are being exploited? Aliens are simply milch cows to the enterprise and the IRS. The fact is, illegal immigration is a creation of the profit bent Corporate America. That's why most prime jobs have been exported for the cheap labor in India, Mexico etc. Why are we not whining about that?

That's captialism, dear. You can fight that another way, zoning laws. If your county has rules that control the number of people who live in a house, then report the people who have more than that number to the country officials. They will be fined, every time they get caught with tooo many people they can be fined a higher and higher amount. They eventually move the extra people out. I've seen it done. If your county does not have these rules, go to the council meeting and get them to make the rules. That's democracy, dear.

Check with your local code enforcement agency, sometimes it helps, but most times local government, just like the feds, look the other way and do not want to enforce the laws on the books

What you have described is called supply side economics.
Essentially, when a product is in high demand, the price increases. It is the same concept the oil companies use to justify increases in gasoline prices.
Sorry, no one will investigate, nor will anyone do anything about it.
