And when did He make that decision?

God did not make any such "decision"!!! The Bible is Mans doing. Sure it was good for the people making the bible when it was made, and I'm sure that their experience was very religious, inspired and even spiritual. That was then. This is now. Using the bible for any practical purpose is like trying to apply reruns of "I Love Lucy" to every day life here in 2007!! Things change. A photograph of a building in the 1920's captures it then. When comparing the photograph to the still standing building, sure it still looks the same, but alot of changes went on to the building, and around it. It's time stamped. The bible is the same way. Having a relationship with your higher self and God or a spiritual connection is a living, breathing, thing all by it self. Certain principles are always going to remain the same. Ya don't need a book to tell you "Thou shalt not kill"... Heck, I already knew that from within. People get so caught up in these words and verses that they fail to live.

Satan made the bible. Think about it:

If god's good, he would have made the bible clear to understand and not open to interpretation.

The majority of human-on-human suffering in the world today is caused by people quoting from one holy book or another as justification for their hatred and killing.

Christians say that the devil is the bad force. Therefore the devil must have been at least partly responsible for this book. It's certainly causing a lot of distress in the world!

The decision was made in the Garden of Eden.
God designed mankind to need His Word in our lives.
Upon making man, He began to teach them, giving them understanding of their existence and subsistence:

Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that procedeth out of the mouth of God.

IMHO , Man made that decision. Remember the Bible is a compilation that the Catholic Church put together out of various texts written by prophets, apostles, etc...There are texts still in the Vatican vaults that were not added, even one about Jesus Christ growing up. So in effect God created man, Man wrote their experiences with God etc. Thus God created the Bible "through man"

because we're not telepaths. we need things explained in order to know, and words are the best way to do that. Besides, would you want to listen to a 4 day strait sermon? (approximately how long it takes to read the Bible and preach on it very quickly)

in the Beginning there was the Word: John 1:1

Before the Bible there were many differing opinions of God's will and mankind didn't agree about what his law really was.

God wrote the Bible in order to clear all that up.

Oh, that hasn't happened yet? Maybe he should have chosen better scribes.

I think it's pretty obvious no diety would claim credit for that book. It is full of interest. It has noble poetry in it; and some clever fables; and some blood-drenched history; and some good morals; and a wealth of obscenity; and upwards of a thousand lies. When one reads Bibles, one is less surprised at what the Deity knows than at what He doesn't know. The two Testaments are interesting, each in its own way. The Old one gives us a picture of these people's Deity as he was before he got religion, the other one gives us a picture of him as he appeared afterward. That's one Diety that I want to keep out of the reach of, the caricature of God which one finds in the Bible. We (that one and I) could never respect each other, never get along together. I have met his superior a hundred times-- in fact I amount to that myself.

The Bible is an inspired record of God's dealings with certain groups of people. It was provided to help us understand principles designed to allow us to progress and to be happy.

To me it's clear He made the decision long before the earth was even formed. The earth wasn't a whim, a plan was developed and is being carried out to allow His spirit children to progress.

Because we needed some direction in life. We also needed to know something about God. God didn't create us just to leave us alone. He wanted a relationship with us. After Eden we could not be with him in a physical sense, because of our sinful state so we had to read his words, pray, and recieve the holy spirit in order to have a relationship.

He didn't because he doesn't exist.

The bible itself is a contradiction to the religion. You are not supposed to "know" god exists, you're supposed to merely believe & have faith that he exists. By making himself known he defeats his ultimate goal... which is for people to believe in him with no proof... just faith!

If you are to take the bible as fact that means you "KNOW" god is real and thus you can not CHOOSE to worship him.... you are worshipping out of obligation so you can secure your place in heaven. The whole thing with god is that he wants people to be unsure & he wants the faith in his existence. If there were some evidence (like the bible) that god exists.... It would completely go against what god's wishes are... which would be people only having faith that he exists. Not knowing for sure!

Being that i take the bible for a fairy tale story that is filled with holes I know that god doesn't exist because there is no other evidence to the contrary. IF there is a god, i highly doubt he cares to receive any praises from us. He's probably not even paying attention. He's probably rubbing one out to that old 70's poster of farrah fawcet or some other such thing. Who knows?
