No. They must be part of some professionally recognised body such as law, teaching, doctor, engineer, military etc. Did you go to university - is there anyone there who could do it? Do you have any friends of the family who have been to university and do a recognised job? Do you go to church at least every so often and have the reverend or priest do it for you? What about your dentist? Can you ask him and pay him for his time?

ive just had my new passport and i was informed that no relative can sign it but anybody else can as long as they have known you for 3 years or more and also the person who signs it has to put their passport number on the part of the form they have to fill out,im not so sure if the passport number is applicable if the person hasnt got one,by the way a friend done it for me and i had no problems getting the pasport and it is worth doing it with the post office and paying the £7 charge as they go through it to make sure you have all the documents needed etc.

They put exactly who can do that. I think you have to go to your local GP if you registred there for long enough and ask them to sign. teachers can do the same
