I would go with the link Jay has supplied.

What is going on is that the circumference needs to be entered in millimetres (mm). 25.4 mm to an inch.

The circumference of a 23mm 700c wheel is usually 2096 but it varies a little depending on inflation (pressure) and tyre manufacturer.

If you get the circumference to within 3/4 inch you will be greater than 99% accurate. A lot of people try to get it with in a mm but that is just because they can.

A car speedo is rarely accurate to even 98%. So don't sweat it too much.

i take advantage of hybrid tires on my previous beater mountain motorbike that i take advantage of for commuting. they seem to be a similar width because of the fact the MTB tires, yet they have a gentle tread trend interior the midsection to decrease rolling resistance. they have lugs on the sidewalls to assist grip interior the airborne dirt and dirt. I save them inflated to approximately 40 psi and that they are great. they are almost silent and extremely quickly on pavement. If i desire to trip interior the airborne dirt and dirt, I basically decrease the tire tension slightly and that they artwork high quality there, too.
