Bob Marley is always a big hit. You could also try Buena Vista Social Club if you want a Latin flavor. There is also some Hawaiian music by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, including the 'somewhere over the rainbow' version from the 50 first dates movie.

Try a local music store. Ask the clerk there if they have any hawaiian music (I'm not sure what the genre is called) . I think this sets the perfect mood for a beautiful tropical wedding. Also look for Island music this too may go good with your theme. You could also try amazon.com they may essentially be really helpful in your search. Good Luck and I hope you a Beautiful wedding!!!

examples of cds i found by typing in tropical music on amazon.com:

Tropical Chill by Various Artists
Caribbean Steeldrums: 20 Famous Tropical Melodies- Calypso, Samba by Steelasophical

I made a mix. At the reheasal dinner, I had several steel pan band cds with the classical favorites like Hot Hot Hot and Congo.

At the very beginning, while everyone was just getting there--we played ocean surf (Solitudes collections that you see in a lot of stores like Brookstone, BedBathandBeyond and Walmart).

Then as it got up to dancing music a lot of really popular songs a few years ago had a reggae inspired sound. Black Eyed Peas, Sean Paul, Nina Sky. "Hey Mama" stuff like that. It was recent enough that everyone got up to dance for it.

We also used some Spanish music--Flamenco stuff. Thats more the coast of Cuba and Mexico but with tropical theme--the Caribbean is one ocean no matter what country the sand is on.

I strongly recommend you find cd's by Keali'i Reichel. He is one of Hawaii's great singers and he has an absolutely beautiful voice. He has many romantic tropical songs as well as traditional hawaiian songs. Check out his website, or even Hilo Hattie or amazon.com.

My favorite is "E O Mai"
Other beautiful ones are: "Ka Nohona Pili Kai"
"Mele A Ka Puuwai"
"Kuu Pua Mae Ole"
"Kawaiipunahele"

He has many more but you would definitely find the tropical theme you are looking for.

The Aloha Crater Boys have some great music. I think they do a cover of somewhere over the rainbow.

Look for cd's from a singer named "IZ" - He was a huge hit in the islands and had a fabulous voice. Also, look for "blue hawaii" from elvis.
